"I remember Kim being conflicted about it, because she hated everything that was going on around that tape," executive producer Farnaz Farjam also relayed to the publication. "We all talked about, 'We just have to own all the controversy around this family' and jumped in with both feet in the first episode. Then, the audience can get to know them at a much deeper level than what's been tabloid headlines."

The series was produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and its senior vice president of production and development, Eliot Goldberg, described the move to address the tape right off the bat as nothing short of "brilliant."

Kardashian, who shares four children with West, was terrified that once again she would have to relive the nightmare of her sex tape being public. When preparing for SNL, Kardashian gave West a call where she broke down in tears over the tape.

Kardashian revealed she did watch the tape and there was no new footage from that night beside them being out on the town. With the relief that she got her sex tape back, Kardashian was able to host SNL and crush her performance.

Kardashian reportedly received $5 million from Vivid, giving the company the rights to distribute the sex tape, back in 2007. Today, the 34-year-old reality star is reportedly worth more than $65 million.

The Hulu series, which debuted in April, has focused on the Skims founder as she attempted to get access to the explicit video amid allegations that there was previously unreleased footage. In a recent episode, Kardashian revealed that West delivered the entire tape back to her after meeting with Ray J.

Ray J has seemingly confirmed the existence of a second sex tape with Kim Kardashian. He also said he never had a copy despite the moment from The Kardashians that shows Kanye West delivering the alleged footage to her.

The sex tape surfaced in 2007, and at the time Kim sued the company behind it for invasion of privacy. She later dropped the suit and settled with Vivid Entertainment for $5 million, but some have alleged Kim and her mother Kris Jenner were behind the release of the tape, which they have both denied.

Ray J told the Daily Mail he pitched Kim the idea of releasing the tape, and that she and Jenner allegedly ran with it. He said the mother/daughter team signed a contract for two tapes, the one that released in 2007 filmed during a vacation Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and the unreleased one created in Santa Barbara, California.

On the Thursday, April 14, episode of The Kardashians, the tot was playing a game on an iPad when he saw something "super inappropriate" pop up. The mom-of-four saw a photo of her crying alongside a note about "unreleased footage" from her sex tape with her ex Ray J, which was released in 2007.

In the episode, Kim is going crazy over the new sex tape advertisement and is taking harsh steps against the company. Kim, who has achieved a billionaire status now, is talking with her attorney team and is planning to sue the gaming company.

Roblox has also reacted to the viral news and said that they had removed the room titled 'Kim Kardashian experience' that Saint came across and has also banned its creator. Further, they said there's no sex tape available on the gaming platform.

Kim's 2007 sex tape:For the unversed, Kim's infamous sex tape with then-boyfriend Ray J has always been the most discussed topic ever since the very first episode of their hit show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'.

Earlier, Kim admitted on a reunion episode of KUWTK' that the long-running series would not have been as successful without her 2007 sex tape. 'Looking back, probably not,' the 40-year-old reality star told host Andy Cohen during the first part of the 20th season reunion.

Fans of The Kardashians will know everything about Kim Kardashians' infamous sex tape with her then-boyfriend rapper Ray J. They briefly dated in 2005 and their sex tape was leaked in 2007 but in September 2021, her past came back to haunt her when there was a talk by Ray-J's former manager Wack 100 of a second sex tape.

When Ray-J's manager Wack 100, claimed on the Bootleg Kev podcast that he had a copy of the sex tape and wanted to "gift" it to Kanye, Kim's lawyer Marty Singer shut down his claims, calling the rumors in a statement to US Weekly "unequivocally false."

The statement said: "The computer and hard drive collected were supposed to contain the original video and any unseen footage. After review, there was nothing sexual unseen, only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip. Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists.

TMZ's email trail does a great deal to undo the previous narrative that Ray J released the tape unilaterally and against the will of Kardashian herself. Though it's said she didn't want to release the tape at all, filing a lawsuit to stop it, the case was later dismissed just a few days before the sales figures came through from Vivid.
